Stella Kammel is a director/writer/teacher, and founder of the CT group, a growing company of artists in NYC. Stella graduated with a BA (HONS) in acting from the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art (RADA), King’s College. A native New Yorker, Stella is commissioned to work in her home city and in London.
Recent projects include: BACK TO HOGWARTS 2024 (acting director) an immersive experience in Grand Central Station produced by SWAMP and Warner Brothers; THESE SHINING LIVES (director) at The Dalton School; STOP KISS (director) produced by RADA and performed by 3rd year BA actors; SKETCHING DRAGONS (writer) a short film produced by RADA and performed by 3rd year BA actors; ONE NIGHT OF JOSEPH KAUFMAN (dramaturg) a stage play written by Dmitry Glukhovsky, produced by Belka Productions, and performed as a staged reading at the Vaudeville Theatre; DISULFANIDE (dramaturg) an audio play supported by the Royal Society of Chemistry and produced by Ignite and the Royal Welsh College of Music; and THIS WEIRD NORMAL (writer) an audio series co-written by Susan Wokoma and Asif Kahn and produced by RADA.
Stella wrote and directed her stage plays SONNET 61: SHORT PEOPLE and PORTRAIT which were produced at the RADA Festival and Theatre N16. She has received commissions to write for the audio companies Dagaz Media and Audio Marvels, and has worked as a theater teacher/director at The Dalton School, and Poly Prep Country Day School. She currently teaches theater at The Hewitt School in NYC.
